Philanthropy West Virginia Proudly Announces the 2024 Spirit of Philanthropy Awards Honorees
The honorees for the 2024 West Virginia Spirit of Philanthropy Awards have been selected, based on their philanthropic commitment, leadership, and creativity in uplifting the Mountain State. This year’s honorees will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 22nd during the 2024 Philanthropy WV Annual Conference at an awards dinner open to the public.
“These outstanding leaders, through their philanthropic efforts, have helped to make their communities and our state a better place” said Marian Clowes, Board Chair of Philanthropy West Virginia. “We are delighted to honor them for their leadership, dedication, and impact.”
The Spirit of Philanthropy Awards Dinner will be held Tuesday, October 22 at 7 PM at Lightburn’s Restaurant located at Stonewall Resort. The dinner is open to the public; single dinner tickets are available HERE for those who wish to join the celebration of philanthropy in the Mountain State and the recognition of the Spirit of Philanthropy awardees.
Corporate Responsibility Award
Ellen Rossie, EQT Foundation
The award for Corporate Responsibility will be presented to Ellen Rossi, President EQT Foundation.
Critical Impact Award
Nonprofits LEAD
The award for Critical Impact will be presented to NonProfit LEADS and accepted by Shannan Tschopp, Program Director, and Amy Elliott, Director of the Office of Community Engagement, Marietta College.
Individual Philanthropist Award
Donna Patrick
The award for Individual Philanthropist will be presented to Donna Patrick, Partner - Best of Canaan real estate and rental company in Canaan Valley.
Staff Leadership Award
Janell Ray, Pallottine Foundations of Huntington and Buckhannon
The award for Staff Leadership will be presented to Janell Ray, Founding CEO and now Senior Advisor of the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington and Buckhannon.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Jimelle Bowen, James H. and Alice Teubert Charitable Trust
The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Jimelle Bowen, Executive Director of The James H. and Alice Teubert Charitable Trust. Jimelle will be retiring this year after 36 years of service to the blind and visually impaired.
