Philanthropy West Virginia Hires Jennifer Goddard as new President & CEO

Dec 3, 2024  -Jennifer Reed Goddard has been named the new President and CEO of Philanthropy West Virginia. Goddard, APR, has crafted a distinguished career spanning the nonprofit, corporate, consulting, public relations, and advertising sectors. She is a recognized leader in nonprofit management, corporate communications, stakeholder relations, and coalition building. Goddard will begin her role with Philanthropy West Virginia on January 2, 2025.

As a skilled facilitator, Goddard excels in bringing people together, ensuring all voices are heard, and finding common ground even among differing opinions. Each role in her career has laid a strong foundation for progressive leadership in nonprofit management, development, and mission-driven advocacy.

Goddard holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace. Throughout her career, she has maintained her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through continuous education, service, and engagement in the field of Public Relations.

Her volunteer service includes serving on the boards of directors for The Charleston Ballet, Capitol Market, The Women’s Health Center of West Virginia, Habitat for Humanity of Kanawha Putnam, and the Public Relations Society of America West Virginia Chapter. She has served those organizations through committee and officer roles.
