Philanthropy West Virginia is proud to partner with these four leaders in philanthropy and grantmaking. Each organization has its own realm of national or regional expertise.

United Philanthropy Forum leads, strengthens and informs a national network of nearly 75 regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs) that advance philanthropy’s impact for the common good. The Forum envisions a courageous philanthropic sector that catalyzes a just and equitable society where all can participate and prosper.

West Virginia Nonprofit Association strengthens the nonprofit sector by fostering a collective voice and providing mission-focused resources. The WVNPA officially spun out from Philanthropy West Virginia as of April 1, 2018. We are proud that they continue to do great work in our state.

Grantmakers for Effective Organizations exists to help grantmakers turn their desire to improve into real progress. Since 1997, GEO has provided opportunities for grantmakers to come together, share knowledge and inspire each other to act. GEO members find value in making strong connections to address mutual challenges, navigating the same journey to improve.

Independent Sector is the only national membership organization that brings together a diverse set of nonprofits, foundations, and corporations to advance the common good. IS advocates for public policies that impact the charitable sector, builds knowledge on behalf of the sector, and connects the hard-working organizations and leaders within the sector.
