2015 Academy

 

How do you successfully and ethically lead your corporate giving program, private/family foundation, community foundation or giving circle as a board member, CEO, staff member or professional advisor?

Established and New Leaders in Private, Family, and Community Grantmaking Foundations, Corporate Giving Programs/Foundations, Giving Circles, and individual Philanthropists came together with Philanthropy WV and WVU President Emeritus David C. The Academy is a dynamic series of five seminars with outstanding and high quality training focused on ethics and leadership for those serving and leading private, family, corporate, and community grantmaking foundation and giving programs/circles. Your registration in the Inaugural Class provides you with:

• -Strengths Quest Assessment & Orientation on Your Strengths and their application in your philanthropic, professional, and personal lives plus a copy of the “Strengths Based Leadership” book
• -A copy of the leadership book “The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics” and discussion on these learning experiences in your work by leading teams
• -Networking and broadening your connections with top grantmaking foundation and corporate giving leaders from across West Virginia and the region
• -Establishing and expanding your ethical and leadership skills  and best practices as a part of your philanthropic institution and community
• -Gain inspiration and updates on the current trends in philanthropy and West Virginia issues that increases your experience and delivery of increased value to your foundation/giving program leadership role
