Rising Leader Scholarship for Philanthropy WV Annual Conference
Deadline Extended: Scholarship Applications Now Due October 25th
Thanks to the generosity of a few sponsors Philanthropy WV will offer four scholarships to allow rising leaders within West Virginia involved and/or interested in philanthropy to attend our 2019 Annual Conference. The scholarship will cover the recipient’s registration fee and/or their hotel accommodations. Scholarship recipients will be responsible for meals outside the conference, transportation and incidental expenses. To be eligible for a scholarship, an applicant must:
- Work for a Philanthropy West Virginia member or have a demonstrated interest in getting involved as a board member, staff member, young philanthropist, or advisor to a grantmaking foundation, corporate giving program, giving circles, venture philanthropy, and/or charitable giving.
- Have worked in philanthropy, served on a board/giving circle, or be involved as donors/philanthropists at any level for less than five years.
- Have the endorsement of a Philanthropy WV member and/or Partner to attend the conference.
- Demonstrate financial need and rising/established leadership activities in the philanthropic sector.
