Philanthropy West Virginia reserves the right to cancel or reschedule our education programs. Programs may be canceled because of, but not limited to: speaker and or facilitator illness, inclement weather conditions, or less than 3 registered participants.

Philanthropy West Virginia hosts new Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation President & Trustee Jen Giovannitti for 2019 Philanthropy Leaders Luncheon at WV Business Summit

Join the board members, CEOs, staff, donors, and advisors of corporate giving programs/foundations, private, family, and community foundations for Philanthropy West Virginia’s Philanthropy Leaders Luncheon during the WV Business Summit. This year’s guest speaker is the new Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation’s President & Trustee Jennifer “Jen” Giovannitti on Thursday, August 29th from 12 to 1:30 PM at the Sam Snead Restaurant in the Golf Club private room at The Greenbrier Resort.

Ms. Giovannitti will discuss the Benedum Foundation’s 75th Anniversary and priority areas for strengthening West Virginia.  Ms. Giovannitti is a Pennsylvania native who has worked extensively in West Virginia.  She joined the Foundation in October 2018 as the first woman president of the foundation.  Prior to joining the Benedum Foundation, Ms. Giovannitti was the community development manager for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and a nationally known policy expert on rural development strategies.  Ms. Giovannitti describes herself as “passionate about community development, innovation and the power of people.”

We are excited to have her joining us to share her vision and work underway at the Benedum Foundation for their 75th Anniversary year.  This program registration is:

  • $35.00 for Philanthropy WV members
  • $50.00 for non-members
