CEO Leadership Series: Philanthropic Leadership from Crisis to Recovery

In 2021, Philanthropy West Virginia will be offering a three part virtual series for CEOs, Presidents, Executive Directors, and those in similar roles, focused on philanthropic leadership. Please mark your calendars for the first session in our series,“Philanthropic Leadership from Crisis to Recovery” which will be May 20th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. For this session we’ll be talking with guest speaker Michelle J. DePass, President and CEO of the Meyer Memorial Trust about her experiences with rural philanthropy, community engagement, collaborative partnerships, equity, and more.

This program is free to Philanthropy West Virginia members. If you are in a leadership role at one of our membership organizations, you can just email kate@philanthropywv.org to register. Non-member registration is $50, and can be paid online here or by sending a check to Philanthropy West Virginia at PO Box 1584, Morgantown WV 26505.

Michelle J. DePass began her career as a community organizer in New York and went onto leadership positions in philanthropy, government, academia and the nonprofit sector. Over three decades, she has distinguished herself as a thought leader at the intersections of social and economic justice, community organizing and political strategy, and progressive philanthropy and academia. She has worked for the Center for Constitutional Rights, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Ford Foundation, the Gulf Coast Fund for Community Renewal and Ecological Health, and many other organizations.
