Philanthropy West Virginia reserves the right to cancel or reschedule our education programs. Programs may be canceled because of, but not limited to: speaker and or facilitator illness, inclement weather conditions, or less than 3 registered participants.

4th Quarterly Webinar: How to say NO!

Join us as we share different strategies used by a variety of foundations when you have that difficult task of turning down a grantees request. This session will focus on the ethical practices that need to be included in your work and that saying “No” needs to be done out of respect for applicants. Also, use it to clarify future expectations, honesty, how to improve future grant requests, and also how to refer to other funders when a grant application doesn’t fit your funding priorities. Do you have a pesky grant requestor who doesn’t understand why you said “No”? We can also discuss different strategies on how to handle these individuals as well. Join us for this engaging session for long-time pros and those new to the sector.
