Philanthropy’s Role: Building a Culture of SUD Solutions

May 13, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

As a follow-up to The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation’s “A Dialogue to Maximize the Impact of Private, State, and Federal Funding on the Opioid Epidemic in West Virginia Breakfast” with Dr. Jean Bennett in May 2018, TGKVF and partners (SAMHSA, Philanthropy WV, WV BHHR, etc.) are convening another gathering on Monday, May 13 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  Philanthropy’s Role in Building a Culture of Substance Use Disorder Solutions is for philanthropy, private, nonprofit, and government sector leaders across the OUD & SUD response work.

Dr. Bennett will be back as facilitator and our special guest will be Dr. Patrice Harris, Bluefield, West Virginia native and president-elect of the American Medical Association. The gathering agenda includes the following:

  • A special report (funded by the McDonough Foundation) on strategies that are making a difference in Huntington.
  • A funding forecast from the state of West Virginia.
  • The opportunity for non-profits to pitch their ideas to grantmakers.

Click here to register for this gathering.  Registrations are due by Friday, May 10.
