Programs

  • Regional luncheon meetings centered on topics of interest – Spring
  • Annual conference for all West Virginia giving programs and foundations. Conference seeks to network local grantmakers to understand the current state and national philanthropic environment. – October 26th-28th, 2016.
  • Corporate Responsibility Council is a peer network, meeting twice yearly in the northern and southern parts of the state, focusing on specific needs of our corporate giving programs, foundations and other corporate leaders in providing the best philanthropic strategies and processes for an effective giving program.
  • Annual Community Foundations Institute (skill building workshop) – Summer
  • Informational state and national webinars and teleconferences on select topics (ex. filing the 990PF, funders in health, conflict of interest issues, etc.).
  • Quarterly Webinars are hosted by Philanthropy WV and/or co-sponsored with the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers.
  • Foundations on the Hill (Washington, DC) – Spring
  • Special Roundtable/Policy Discussions with state and federal policymakers and elected officials that help inform and educate our representatives about philanthropy and encourage representatives to seek out grantmakers as resources on key public policy issues.
