WEBINAR – Entry Points: Philanthropy’s Response to Opioid Use Disorder Crisis

September 5, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

As rural and urban communities grapple with how to respond and tackle the epidemic of opioid use and substance use disorders, philanthropy is learning, leveraging, supporting, and leading in different ways to respond to the crisis.  Join Indiana Philanthropy Alliance and Philanthropy West Virginia as they share the work underway in their respective states with philanthropic leaders working with local partners making progress in advancing solutions.  This webinar will provide your organization and your members with ideas, strategies, and replicable models that your PSO and members can apply in your work.

The webinar presenters include:

  • Kim Barber Tieman, Program Director – Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation
Kim will share her expertise and lessons learned in developing a response in rural communities of West Virginia to the opioid crisis.  She will highlight collaborations and partnership building with federal and state government leaders
  • Ellen Quigley, Vice President of Programs – Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation
Ellen will share her foundation’s work in identifying the Substance Use Disorder landscape, gaps, opportunities for philanthropy, and partnership development from the Indiana perspective.

Registration is open to members Philanthropy WV and Indiana Philanthropy Alliance, and other PSO members.  Click HERE to register and participate.
