Please join us virtually for the 2020 Annual Conference the week of November 9th – 13th.

Registration is NOW open

As a state, Appalachian region, and rural communities, we are grappling with multiple layers of challenges and inequities amid the pandemic, economic downturn, and pre-existing economic divide.  In the midst of so many challenges, we are finding opportunities as we work collectively as locally based to nationally focused foundations, companies, donors, and other funders on how to transform rural focused on equity and community to a better place after these ties.

This year’s theme is Transforming Rural Through Equity and Community. The 2020 conference will have all the great features of our in-person conferences, including keynotes by leaders in philanthropy, panel discussions with local and national perspectives, breakout discussions with your peers, networking opportunities and more. We are continuing our decade long-commitment of investing in local (businesses, nonprofits, artisans, musicians, etc.) with this year’s conference.

While we can’t be together in -person, we’re creating a dynamic virtual experience to bring the beauty and expertise of our network to your home or place of work.

Virtual sessions will take place from 1:30 to 4:00 or 4:30 each day. All sessions except for breakouts will be recorded, so registrants can catch up on anything they miss.

Registration for the full conference is $195 for members and $395 for non-members, while a 1 day registration is $75 for members and $150 for non-members. If more than three members of your organization’s staff or board plan to attend, please contact Hilaria Swisher, Program & Engagement Coordinator for details on the special reduced group registration rate.

One of the things we love about the Annual Conference is working with local businesses and performers, and we are continuing that in the virtual format. Your registration helps support small businesses, artists, musicians, and nonprofits serving critical needs in our central Appalachian communities!
