Community Foundation National Standards Session

November 19, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Philanthropy WV is excited to be partnering with the Council on Foundations, welcoming Kevin van Bronkhorst as he walks you through the most frequently asked questions and gives an update on the accreditation process.  This program will answer your questions about the Community Foundation National Standards accreditation process!  The National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations Accreditation Program certifies U.S. community foundations that meet and exceed federal and state law requirements in practice and by policy. The accreditation process is rigorous, and undertaking it demonstrates a community foundation’s commitment to accountability and excellence to its donors, its community, policymakers, and the public.

Kevin has managed the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations program for over three years. During that time he oversaw the migration to an online application platform, as well as the transition to a three-year accreditation period. Before joining the Council, Kevin was editor for a nuclear non-proliferation blog and worked as a system administrator for a home health firm. Kevin has an MSc in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University’s Faculty for Governance and Global Affairs in The Hague, Netherlands – where he researched international security policy and implementation. He has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Oregon State University.

You won’t want to miss this program and the exciting announcement at the end of the session!  Join us on November 19th from 10:00 – 11:30 AM.  This program is open to Philanthropy WV Community Foundation members only, to register email info@philanthropywv.org.
